Barnett Wood Infant School

Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to Barnett Wood Infant School.

At Barnett Wood we work hard to provide a safe, happy and nurturing learning environment where every child succeeds.  Within a warm, supportive environment we promote independent thought and curiosity, foster a love of learning and celebrate achievement.  With just six classes, every child is special to us and we get to know our pupils and families very well, developing strong relationships that work for the benefit of the children.  Our children are encouraged to take responsibility for their own actions, lead a healthy lifestyle and to work together to create a strong sense of community where the views and feelings of others are respected.  We strive to be the best that we can be.

The strong sense of community at our school is often remarked upon. We have a genuine open door policy and interaction between home and school is positively promoted. Many parents support the school by helping in classrooms and by working within the Friends Association.

We have a dedicated staff team who are all extremely conscientious and passionate about outcomes for children in whatever role they are employed.  They understand that we all have a key part to play in ensuring that every child feels valued and safe and that they are supported to succeed in achieving their best.

We are very proud of Barnett Wood Infant School and strive to ensure that everyone who has been a part of our school, has fond and happy memories of their time here whilst also being fully prepared to move onto the next phase in their education as kind, confident and successful learners.

We welcome visits from prospective parents and encourage you to contact the school office should you like to see Barnett Wood in action.
