Reception Induction 2025
Following your recent allocation of a place, we are pleased to welcome you to Barnett Wood Infant School! We are delighted that you have chosen our school for your child
and can't wait to meet you!
Please ensure you have accepted your place on the Surrey admissions portal by 30th April 2025
As much as possible our induction and admissions process will be electronic and we will provide information on how we will manage this in our welcome email, which we will send to parents by the end of May. In the meantime, please do take a look at our website for information.
Once we have our confirmed list of accepted offers, we will be getting in touch with your child's current setting to arrange visits by the class teachers. To assist us with this, please complete the form by clicking on the link below:

Induction Evening - Thursday 26th June 2025 - 7pm
We look forward to meeting you all for our first induction event. Please join us n the school hall to find out all about the induction process and meet your child's class teacher.
Please find important dates relating to your child's induction to our school below:

| Thursday 26th June | 7pm - 8pm | New Reception Parents Induction meeting in the school school hall - parents only |
| Friday 27th June | AM | 'Tea and Toys' session for parents and children. This session provides you with an opportunity to meet the key adults for your child's class and to meet with other parents. Timings for your session will be confirmed by 19th June - please look out for an email. |
| Thursday 3rd July | 1.30pm - 2.30pm | First 'Stay and Play' session - children only |
| Monday 7th July | 10.15am - 11.15am | Second 'Stay and Play' session - children only |
Thursday 4th September Friday 5th September Monday 8th September | Appointments between 9.00am - 2.30pm to be organised at later date | Home visits by class teacher and teaching assistant |
Tuesday 9th September or Thursday 11th September 2025 | Start time to be confirmed in induction letter | First day of school! |
